Kiddie Kottage Learning Academy is an independently black owned franchise of Childcare Learning Centers owned by Tamika and Terrance James. For over 10 years we have been dedicated to the growth and development of each child within our care. From infants to preteens, we are invested in your child’s growth and developing cognitively, socially, physically, and emotionally.
Kiddie Kottage is where the magic happens…. where learning begins, and the fun never ends. Children are not just a number on our classroom roster but rather our motivation to provide quality care in a safe and nurturing environment. We are committed to expanding their minds and helping them to reach their greatest potential.

Tamika and Terrance James
Terrance and Tamika James have been in the childcare industry for 10 years and counting. With over 20 years of experience working with children in various arenas and environments, they truly take pride in what they have built in the Kiddie Kottage brand. Kiddie Kottage has become the epitome of learning beyond our limits. We thrive to create an atmosphere for children that is fun; a place for families that is safe, and an atmosphere for our staff that is productive and makes working almost as fun as learning. With the help of our dedicated staff Kiddie Kottage is now open in three convenient locations: Austell, Jonesboro, and Griffin. We are not just a business we are an extension of the families we serve.

For the past 21 years, I have been blessed to dedicate my life to the field of early childhood education. During that time, I have spent the last 7 years serving as a Childcare Director, where I have had the privilege of leading, mentoring, and creating a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for young children to grow and thrive.
Working with children has always been my passion. I believe that every child deserves to feel loved, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential. Building strong relationships with families is equally important to me, and I enjoy partnering with parents to support each child’s growth and development. I also believe in giving back to the community and creating opportunities that positively impact the lives of children and families.

I have over 13 years of experience and have been employed with kiddie kottage for 6 years and counting. The reason that I enjoy working at kiddie kottage is because the owners provide a warm and caring learning environment where you can grow as a staff member. Kiddie kottage creates an environment to help the children explore and learn new things every day. We enjoy watching our kids develop from the daily activities and lessons taught at our center. We take pride in helping to ensure the child meets their milestones every six to eight months.

I have over 25 years of experience and have been working for Kiddie Kottage for 7 years. I chose kiddie kottage because of its supportive and inclusive community which creates an ideal environment for collaboration and growth, allowing me to make a meaningful impact on the lives of my students. I cherish the privilege that the school gives me to serve families of different backgrounds including Spanish, Haitian, and African cultures.
